Let's try this yummy recipe out!

A really spicy vegan tofu recipe

I came across this dish many times ago in my lifetime without knowing it is called Kkangpoong Tofu. I had it at Korean restaurants, and I started soon cooking it myself, because it was easy to cook. Now I'm putting it here on my vegan food blog to officially share it with you.

Ingredients

  • Diced & fried tofu, as you find it in my basic recipes
  • 3 stalks of Asian spring onions. Alternatively you may use regular spring onions as well.
  • 3 table spoons of red & hot Korean soy bean paste
  • 2 - 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 - 3 table spoons of soy sauce
  • 1 table spoon black and white sesame seeds each for garnishing

Instructions

  • Prepare the baked tofu
  • Cook one mug of rice. Make sure, the rice is ready to serve, when the Kkangpoong Tofu is ready, too.
  • Get your wok ready for cooking with some vegetable oil in it
  • When the baked tofu is ready, set it aside in a bowl
  • Heat up the wok and add the spring onions, the garlic and finally the tofu for a short & good stir fry
  • Add the bean paste and the soy sauce after 2 minutes.
  • Continue stir frying for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve the dish and garnish with sesame.
  • Enjoy!

This vegan recipe is good for 2 persons.
